New Testament & Jeevanadiya Churches
Sri Lanka is an island nation that has suffered much turmoil since it has gained independence from its colonial past. A nation of approximately 21 million people and multi-religious, Sri Lankans are a warm and friendly people.
We directly support one pastor from the New Testament churches in Sri Lanka, paying his wages and providing other resources for his ministry and life. Both these groups of churches are doing a fantastic job, in an environment which is extremely difficult - the population of Sri Lanka is approximately 80% Buddhist and is considerably anti-Christian.
The pastors and the people who make up these churches live hard and difficult lives - yet the joy of the Lord is truly their strength. It is a privilege and an honour to serve these brothers and sisters as they continue to expand the Kingdom of God in Sri Lanka.
Throughout each year we have three short-term missions trips to support the leaders of both movements and to minister at conferences/camps - we go to serve and come away changed by the experience.
